PICS OF OUR FORMER HOME AND NEW HOME!!!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend!!!...I've sort of been dragging this weekend and haven't gotten a lot accomplished...I'm fixing to get 4 baskets of laundry folded and clothes started in the washer....Then I hope to get the top of my computer cabinet arranged in a way I like it....Tim hung a quilt crane above it...So I will share pics when I'm happy with it!!....Then I'm hoping to finish the sampler I'm working on and get it in a coffee bath tonight...Those are my plans anyway!!

We took a drive several weeks ago...I've been wanting to take pics of our former house....I really don't have but one good pic of it and that was from one Spring ....But every time I've been by it since, we moved a year ago, the yard has been terrible!!!!!...It really broke our hearts because Tim always had the yard spotless...We always had compliments on how beautiful it was...It was like the house was crying out to us saying "Why did you leave me!!"...A Christmas tree wasn't even put up at Christmas time in the huge bay window like I always did...We found out that the couple divorced....So Sad!!!...So I was thrilled when we drove by that day after visiting neighbors across the street and saw the yard looking freshly mowed and clean...So I had to snap some pics for you!!!

It has taken us this whole year to let go of this house...We hated selling it and moving, but the house has masonite siding and every year we were spending money replacing rotted wood and repairing...And also it is a two story and we knew that years from now this couldn't be our final home with aches and
pains from climbing stairs...So we put it up for sale and put it in God's hands...Our philosophy was if it sells then it was meant to be....Well, we had an offer in 11 days!!!...

So this is our FORMER home!!!...I absolutely love this house!!!...Are you surprised it's blue????...LOL






















And our NEW home we've been in for a year...A one story brick...Yes, we lost 200 square feet in the process, but it goes to show that any home can be turned primitive....Even if it is a plain little brick house...In a cul-de-sac...Nestled between houses....



















So Tim is working on the outside...It is like a clean slate...It amazes me that this Spring there were no flowers of any kind that popped up...It's kind of sad that no one has ever planted anything around it...I thought at least some day lilies would pop up somewhere...No!!...

So soon I will show you a few pics of the back yard and property...So, I'm off to fold clothes and then hopefully finish the sampler I'm working on...So until next time....have a good week!!!...hugs Jen

New Slideshows Added On My Blog.....

Hi everyone!....Where did the week go??...I didn't get nearly enough accomplished this week as I had intended....I sorted through a pile of doll patterns I had stacked up, went through and organized all my linens that I x-stitch on, tried to get some x-stitching in, organize all of Luke's toys, picked up a big x-stitch order of new patterns I'd ordered, housework, housework, and more housework....I even deleted a bunch of pictures in files on the computer that I've been needing to do...It feels good to get these things done,but there is always so much more to get to!!!

One of the highlights this week was chatting with Linda from Behind My Red Door Blog....She is such a sweetheart and a kindred spirit..I'm don't think we had a moment of silence between us even though this was our first phone conversation...We will definitely be chatting again!!!...After you get through here go check out her blog..http://behindmyreddoor.blogspot.com/....She has an awesome post about her pottery...I so enjoyed it!!...Definitely a weakness I have, too...Thanks Linda!

I have 3 new photoshows added on the right...Thanks to my daughter, Taylor!!!...One is new updated photos of the house...Things are always changing around here...Then there are pictures of past x-stitch items I've stitched and ones in my own collection...And lastly pics of the texture series I did a while back and I will be adding to it again!!...Just click on the pictures...

SOLD!!!...THANKS!!...I'm finally able to get back on here!!...I can no longer view my blog or anyone elses using internet explorer....Yesterday I was able to and then from the afternoon on I couldn't...Let me just say I was starting to panic!!!...Really panic!!!...No blogger wants to be where they can't view their own blog!!!...So now I'm on mozilla firefox...I hate change!!...I'm a creature of habit....Hopefully I will get use to it soon...

MORE PICTURES TO SHARE!!!

How has your weekend been so far??...Everyone has been busy around here today and coming and going all day...I on the other hand have stayed around the house and gotten some things done I've been putting off all week...Like straightening Luke's room...Getting rid of baby things that he's outgrown and some he never used...Picking up toys and putting them in a box...Boy, does he need a toybox...I see a project coming on!!..HA!...So it's nice to go into his room and everything in it's place and it feels all clean and organized...At least for this second...HA!...I was finishing it up when Tim and the kids came home...He had taken Luke to some kiddie jump/activity center here and picked Taylor up after work..Then it was onto grilling hamburgers and a big downpour in the middle....But Tim finished the grilling and Luke played in the rain...It was his first time...He was drenched!!..

I on the other hand have felt bad all day...My throat was sore on the right side this morning and now throughout the day it has spread to my entire throat and my head hurts...UGH!....And Tim has informed me that I'm cranky!!...Not meaning to...HA!

looks funny, huh?....and no the tv isn't in the middle of the room and it can't be placed there...

And here is one of my new goodies...When I saw one of these back before Christmas on the Prim and Rustic forum I had to have it!!!...But I missed it by a mere 5 minutes....Someone else had emailed Cheryl first...UGH!....So several weeks back I was checking out her picturetrail and ordered some stuff from her...(I will post those pics soon along with her picturetrail info)...But anyway, she told me she had another one of those trees....YEAH!!!!!....I immediately told her I wanted it...It's going to take me some time to decorate it...I'm want to decorate it with wax ornaments and very primitive things...So I will add some things here and there...

PICTURES TO SHARE

First off I want to thank everyone that visits my blog on a daily or weekly basis!!...I love going on my "live feed" and see the places everyone has visited from...And I just recently passed the 100 mark for followers...I'm so honored that you follow my blog and keep coming back...Thank you all!!

I've been working on unfinished projects this week!...And I think I'm getting things accomplished!...Everyday is unknown as to what I'll creatively get done if any...Being the mother of an ACTIVE 2 year old boy will definitely keep you on your toes...I can get one room cleaned and go to another and by the time I get back to the first room it is a wreck again...I can make my bed up with my coverlet all wrinkle free and come back 1 minute later and Luke is in the middle of the bed laughing.... And there goes the wrinkle free coverlet because before I can grab him he has the entire coverlet wadded up....No wonder my days are like 3 days of housework in one....And at nap time somedays I just sit like a slug....No one touching me, crawling on me,pulling on me, calling me....Just me and the sound of the fan running!!...HA!

I wake up every morning thinking today is the day that I'm going to get something creative accomplished today...Well, it has happened!!...I did it!!..I finished the order I've had for weeks!!..I stayed up to 5:00 am to get it finished...So you know what that means!?!...It's time for simple goodes to be made for "SIMPLE GOODES STITCHED BY JENNIFER"....That is the plan for after Luke goes to bed tonight and as long as he stays in the bed...And I stay off the computer!!...Cross your fingers!!

I've been working on my mantle this week...I'm never satisfied with it...I'm not sure why...I may be for a week or two and then I start wanting to change it...I bought 2 quilt/blanket cranes and Tim put one at the end of my peg rail....I love it!!!...I hung a textile runner on it and a small shaker basket...And there are my 3 plates I bought a while back and added under the sampler... I'm not sure about the clock yet, but it will stay for a while I think...It adds some blue amongst all the deep red...How did everything end up black and deep red on my mantle....I need to get me a rosehip garland to swag or some dried flowers to hang...But here it is so far...

Yes, from Bill....The photographer that I have corresponded with for several months by sending him and Gloria {stylist} pictures of my home for hopefully the Country Sampler...The last time I had spoken with them they were wanting to know if i knew of anyone else in this area that decorated primitive because they like to take pics of several homes in an area after traveling there...Well, I know of no one else here and like I said it's been a while since I've heard from them...{Maybe a month and a half}....So, I'd just about given up hope of being in the Country Sampler anytime soon...

And then I see the email last night....I'm also shocked that Bill may be photographing because his address says he's in Kansas...And I'm in Georgia....But I don't know the details yet...Could be months!!...And I even debated sharing with you all yet...Because I kept the Mercantile Gatherings news hush hush til last week after knowing several months...I had mentioned the pics for the Country Sampler to a few from time to time, but no big conversations on the subject...Just in case it fell through or something...But I had to share it with you this time even though I know only what is in the email....Which isn't much right now....But I will keep you informed on what i find out as I find out....It's just so exciting!!!

So that means I really need to get some unfinshed projects I have planned in the house...And I need to get my new goodies that I got this week put in their new places....I think I really nursed my heart last week after Boyd's death {check previous posts} with shopping...I ordered quite a few new things that I'd been wanting...I will share them soon...

DID YOU HEAR ME SCREAM????

Did you hear me scream????...Did anyone???....It all happened so fast it's almost a blur!!!...I get on the computer tonight...I've been really good and tried to stay off more this week to get other things done...I decide I'm going to check my knology.net address first...I don't check it everyday...And there it was!!!...I spotted it first!!!...I calmly check my other emails first!!...But I also check them quickly!!...Because that email is there and I see who it is from...I calmy click on it...I drink in every word!!...I read it again!!...And yes, I have to make sure I read it AGAIN...I then leap...Yes, I did LEAP out of the chair...Like a gazelle!!...Out of the chair!!...I run down the hall to the bedroom where Tim had just gotten into bed...I grab the covers and in one big whoosh the entire coverlet comes off...I think Tim thought I had lost my mind!!...I start laughing and I think I babbled incoherently...Yes, I think the only sense I made was "Come read the email!"...."Now!"...Tim comes to the computer and I see him smile as he reads the email...I asked him if it meant what I was thinking...I had to have confirmation...My mind was mush!!..It was sent at 9:09 {Fri} this morning and now it is almost 1:00 am on Saturday morning...It's been there all day!!!..Then I run to get Taylor..She has to read, too!!!...I would have gotten Luke up if he could have understood my excitement!!!LOL...Then I look at the clock...UGH!...Tim ask me what I said...I said "I have to call my mama!!!"..."But it's going on 1:00 am"..." But I really need to call my mama!!!"...But I wasn't going to wake her...The excitement will have to wait til tomorrow...or should I say later today...It's going on 4:00 am already!...Goodnight!!
