I wanted to share a picture of my nephew with you...I LOVE this picture!!...He had such a sweet spirit...He had the TAYLOR eyes...All of us Taylor kids have blue eyes and he is the only grandchild that did...
My little brother Robbie, his daddy, was hospitalized last night because he isn't handling Little Rob's death...Please pray that he can come home soon to be with his family...We need him to be with us also...
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your messages and emails....My family so appreciates it..I've been reading each one....Please continue to pray...I firmly believe in the power of prayer...And I know heaven is being flooded with prayers on my family's behalf....
Please continue to include the other family involved...
Thank you!~~hugs, Jen

BRRRR!!!It's cold here in Georgia!!! We even saw a little snow yesterday, but it is suppose to be back up near 70 this weekend if the forecast is true....Crazy Georgia weather!!
The Christmas decor is piled up on the farmhouse table in preparation to being put away..It wasn't as bad putting it up this year since I didn't put as much out this year...Tim commented for the 5th time today that I didn't decorate as much as i usually do...
Tim is still on his vacation of 17 days...So Christmas will be put up tomorrow and some cleaning out and rearranging will be taking place a little everyday....I still have my 8 ft Christmas tree up with only the lights on it...I may leave it up a few more days or i may get up tomorrow and say "ok, it's going down".....
I'm preparing myself for a whirlwind of activity once school starts back...Luke will have his regular classes along with some other activities this new year to work on his speech and talking in more sentences....So, I'm going to have to utilize my time wisely!!
I also have plans to work on my Christmas sampler I didn't get finished and new offerings...along with some new simple everyday designs...
I'm looking forward to pulling out all these patterns I've been buying throughout the years and hopefully getting some of them stitched...My house is looking bare since I sell pretty much most of what I stitch, so my home doesn't look like a stitcher lives here...
So many plans for this new year....But, in the meantime, I'm enjoying family time and spending my days in my pajamas nursing a head cold that my son decided to share with his mama...
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to this new year!!
Until next time~~hugs, Jen

Merry Christmas everyone...I held everyone off to get a few pictures before they started snacking...I kept it simple this year...Tomorrow we're having a low country boil...Very simple and yummy!!..
I hope you're having a wonderful evening...I just finished wrapping Taylor's gifts and she is wrapping Luke's for me....Yeah!..NOT my favorite thing to do at all...And I save it til the last minute every year..UGH!
And Taylor asked why i wasn't wrapping the gifts with brown packing paper...She always liked to decorate it instead of using the wrapping paper from the stores...I tell her she is a little primitive after all!!LOL
I'm finally in the Christmas spirit after some things our family is dealing with and my uncle passing away recently...It has been a sad time for me, but I'm looking forward to a new year...
Many blessings this Christmas season to you and your families!!!~~hugs, Jen

We were away this weekend to visit Tim's family on Saturday and then mine on Sunday for early Christmas get-togethers....I always try to go to Liz's Antiques in Cartersville, GA when we go to visit my parents...Well, this time I brought home some treasures..You all know that I love my blues...
Taylor (my daughter) found this huge wooden crate for $14 for me...And I was already carrying around these BIG unfinished bowls along with this wonderful pottery...The canning crock in the middle was $8.50...The small pitcher was half price for $10....And Taylor also found this wonderful piece of Bennington pottery for a huge price of $6.50...WOW!..I couldn't believe that was all she was asking for it...Another Bennington piece to add to my collection...
But then yesterday i received my big Rowe pottery pitcher I won on ebay for $4....Isn't it beautiful???? (In the picture of the 3 pieces..it is the pitcher on the left)....
I was excited to find the unfinished tray and bowl/trencher because I've been wanting something similar to lay pinkeeps/ samplers in to display that i'm going to make using my early blue fabrics this new year...Now to decide what color to paint them....
I hope you're having a wonderful week getting ready for Christmas....I still have to do some more shopping in the next day or two....But all my food items were bought today...So at least I have that all ready!!
Until next time!!~~hugs, Jen

New Offerings!
New Christmas Offerings Tonight..................
Merry Christmas everyone!...I'm sorry I haven't been blogging as much lately!....I've been dealing with some very heart breaking family issues and have been spending alot of extra time with my 4 yr old son...You all know how it is when something effects our children and we can't immediately fix it for them...It is a pain that hits you right in the heart and one minute I'm sad and one minute I'm just plain mad!
And anyone that has emailed me and hasn't heard back...I'm SORRY!.....I haven't been on the computer as much either....So my emails have really piled up....But I plan on getting to them soon....
Ok, on to other things....I hope to share some new Christmas pictures on here this next week...I still have some rooms to finish up and I've tried to simplify things....I have a trip to share with you that we took the Saturday before Thanksgiving...More on that next week...
I have orders to get done, but last night I took a few hours and finished up some items and made them into Christmas Primitive Cupboard Samplers....The unfinished samplers had been laying in a basket on my worktable for a while....This evening I will start putting them on my selling blog....So check back later if you'd like to check them out....
I hope you're having a great Saturday!..It has finally turned cold here this week...Taylor and I have been burning candles this week and it smells, looks, and feels like Christmas....And the excitement a 4 year old brings to every new season constantly reminds me of the small things we overlook when looking through their eyes...
Be back later!!~~hugs, Jen

HI everyone!!....I've been away from the computer since posting my last post working on finishing orders, clearing out the Fall decor to prepare for Christmas, planning Luke's birthday party at school today, and then his actual birthday party tomorrow...My daddy was admitted into the hospital, so I've been on the phone with him and my mom...It's been a long week and alot has been going on...
In my next post I will post some more on the electric fireplace heater I got...I have received quite a few emails and comments asking questions....So instead of answering each one individually I will do a another post...Sorry i haven't had time to respond to your messages this week...
Christmas is going up on Monday!!!....While Luke is at school on Monday morning for 2 hours I will start putting up my 8 ft twig tree...Or at least get started on it....I want to get as much as I can done next week because we will all be home the week of Thanksgiving and I want to rest some that week instead of the house being torn apart with Christmas totes, etc...I want to rest, get some offerings made for my Simple Goods blog, watch some movies, and just spend time with my family....
Speaking of my Simple Goodes blog....I added some new offerings on there tonight and I have more to add soon....I'm going to be working on some new items this weekend...So check back!!
Have a great evening!!~~hugs, Jen

It may be cold outside, but it is toasty inside!!...I have been wanting one of these little heaters that look like a wood stove since last year...It has a remote and it doesn't get hot to the touch...See where it is plugged in to the left in the first picture?...And the flames are so real looking!!!!...You can even turn the heat off and just use it for the ambiance...And the best part is I have been toasty warm all weekend instead of freezing...I'm sooooooo cold-natured when the temps drop....
We had alot of festivities going on at church this weekend due to it being our 20th year anniversary with dinner, bonfire, fireworks, etc on Saturday night...Then a church wide lunch on Sunday...It was so nice to come home and turn this heater on and feel warmth in the house in no time!...And I love being able to look over and see a "fire"....
We had a wood insert in our former home and I always had a fire going in it...I've missed not having one in this home the past two years...So this is my substitute with no cleanup or work..Does it get any better??
Off to work in the house!..I LOVE Mondays!...My favorite day of the week...I hope you have a great Monday also!!!~~hugs, Jen
November 4, 2010
I love my new santas that I got last month during my birthday month....I'm hoping to add more brown this year to my Christmas decor...Sandy of Missouri Dry Goods made them for me, and has made several of my dolls that I own....So with these to look at and a WONDERFUL smelling Christmas tart in my burner, it is smelling and looking like a bit of Christmas!!!
Off to work on orders on this rainy morning, while Luke is at his morning class. Two hours pass fast and then I'm back to get him!!

I couldn't resist.......................
I just put it in a frame...I made one last year, but not for myself...So this time, I stitched it on 22ct. Hardanger over 2 threads...It makes the picture alot bigger than the 28 ct I normally stitch on...I knew I wanted it framed, and I may just make myself a pinkeep also....This is a JENNY HOFFMAN DESIGN of Country Rustic Primitives....And it is one of my favorites!!!...Thank you, Jenny, for a wonderful design!!
~~hugs, Jen

November 1st............
Good Monday Morning and November 1st!..I hope you had a great weekend and Happy Halloween!!..I just finished taking down the few Halloween decorations...So the house is back to normal with just my Fall decor...But, in my mind all weekend I have mentally been planning Christmas...YES, I said it...Christmas!...I've decided it is starting to go up the week before Thanksgiving...Tim has the week of Thanksgiving off and I don't want to have the house tore apart with Christmas along with whatever else may be going on that week...So, the week before I will at least be putting up trees,etc...It is coming up fast!!!...Where has this year gone???!!!??
I took some time this weekend and worked on some Christmas items...I will be adding them here and there on my selling blog, so be checking from time to time when you visit to see if I've added anything new...
Well, off to get Luke and then I have a list of things to try to get done today!...I hope you have a wonderful Fall day!!...Leave me a comment and let me know what you're up to today!!~~hugs, Jen
