It was a restful Saturday...Tim was gone most of the day at the church to supervise the UPWARD basketball games...Taylor was at work...So Luke and I played and worked in the house some...Then when he layed down I layed down for a nap...When we got up it was time for dinner...
After dinner I got the chili ready to put in the crockpot and into the refrigerator, so it can be turned on in the morning and ready after church...You just brown your meat~drain~a can of diced tomatoes~an onion or two~ and a can of Chili Magic with some water added...I love it!!...It makes the chili more of a soup consistency then a thick chili...I could have it several times a week since it is more like a soup..YUM!!!!.And soooo simple to prepare especially when you have a toddler hanging on your legs!!!...HA!.

YES YES - I am lovin these texture posts! You are showing such wonderful collections.
Have a great Sunday!
I think most of us who love Prims and Colonial have all these wonderful textures - it gives a sense of comfort I think.
The modern look has a rather cold look to it if you are wanting to have that homey warm feeling (although there's nothing wrong with that look - we went to Florida for the winter for 5 months and we had all modern furniture and I loved it - nice change).
Chili is one of my favorite winter meals...yours sounds wonderful and easy.

Hello Kim,
Although I am an eclectic decorator myself, I really love looking at primitives and am enjoying your blog, especially all your primitive wooden pieces. I was inspired by reading CT Log Cabin to start a blog of my own. It's apronsgonewild.blogspot.com
I have an etsy online store where I sell the aprons I design and make but my first love is my 285 year old home on Cape Cod that my husband and I have been bringing back to life for 20 years.
Keep up the good work on your blog. It's really lovely.
Sincerely,
Joanne
P.S.
Please excuse...I meant to say, "Hello Jen!"
I love textures!! They make me feel so relaxed, strange how old prim things do that! Did you get my reply email? I am ready to swap whenever you are. Have a blessed day.
