I got it!!!!!...I couldn't wait to show it to you all!!!...I have wanted this book FOREVER!!...I have been trying to build my book collection and I'm always checking for bargains on ebay...Well, this book usually runs for $50 when I see it...And I had resolved myself to thinking if I wanted it I was going to have to pay that much...But on Saturday I did another search and there it was next to the one that was $54....I had to keep looking at it for it to register...DID IT SAY $1.69????????....YES!!!!!!!....Ok, what is the gimick???...But I got it and it is now in my hands!!!!...It is gently used...A ebayer was selling library books...So I now am the proud owner of Mary Emmerling's "American Country South"....She has other ones from around the US like American Country West, but the south one seemed to be harder to find...For me at least...And at $1.69....I'm so excited!!..And it is hardback!!...So I want to share some pictures of the south with you!!

Thanks for sharing a few pages with us! What a great deal you got on this beautiful book. I was especially drawn to the exterior & the cemetary shots for some reason. Really makes you wonder what their lives were like, huh?
I can definately see why you wanted this book. The pictures you shared are fantastic. I would love to live in a home like that. I will now have to do some searching! :)

just one of many of Mary's great books...she was and will always be the queen of country to me. Her books played a big role in my home decorating and gardens. I sure wish those old shows of hers were back on TV too. If only knew I would have taped them!!
