Yep! That face just about says it all...We got a snowfall and we LOVED it!! Our last one was 3 years ago right after we got back from Little Rob's funeral..Luke was 4 yrs old...I had been watching the weather channel since I first heard the word **snow** last weekend....Oh, it was time for us to get some...
My parents and siblings live above Atlanta...My mom and dad were stuck in traffic for about 5 hrs trying to get home....My brother and sister in law are teachers...Natalie left the school with my niece ad nephew to head home in a 5 mile an hr traffic crawl...My brother thought he might have to stay at the school all night with 200 students, but he managed to get home ok later...It was a mess....
But we didn't start getting snow til around 9 that night..Usually it goes over us...We were waiting...We knew it was going to come this time...And when it started falling Luke and I celebrated...I wanted him to be as happy as I was as a child and praying for a snow day in Middle Tennessee...Which we don't get many here...We got 2 snow days....We examined snow and icicles...He asked loads of questions...It was wonderful seeing it through his eyes like it was the first time because he didn't remember it from three years ago...It may be many years before we have anymore snow days....I'm thankful for the excitement we had and the break in our routine...
We also let Lucy Blue (our indoor kitty) go outside for a bit and examine this white stuff on the ground...She is fearless! Maxamillion was not having it...So, I gave him some open window time to feel the cold air and watch the birds...
I'm also thankful that the worst of the storm didn't hit Charleston, SC as bad as expected...Taylor lives in an old house in the downtown historical area...One rain drop and it floods down there, so we were really concerned about the power going out..The bridges that lead into Charleston were being closed...Lights were flickering at one point when she called me...But they weathered the storm and didn't get as much snow or ice as expected...
They head back to school tomorrow and Upward basketball starts on Saturday...So back to our normal life...And it is suppose to be 65 and 70 on Saturday and Sunday before it drops back down to our normal of 58 for this time of the year...I'm looking forward to that!
So, what is going on with everyone else???
From the Farmhouse~~hugs, Jen

We're out another day in Forsyth County but I really don't know why because there is nothing left in the yards or streets in our area.
The kids in the neighborhood have enjoyed every minute and I have to admit I have spied on them with envy. I'd loved to have been out there with them but too afraid I'd fall and break something so I just watched from the warmth of the house. Clarice (kitty) and I did venture out on the deck but she was less than impressed.
Wow, such excitement!
So glad you and Luke got your snow and hopefully everyone else is fairing well during these harsh weather days.
I can't complain living here in Arizona. The weather has been beautiful and my little garden is still in bloom.
Blessings, Audrey
I have to tell you here in the north we have had more than our share of the "white" stuff. It came early this year & has been with us ever since.Blowing, freezing, slippery, white fluff, crunchy, beautiful snowflakes, are a few words I can use to describe it. Lots of people to the north east of us have had roads closed and been without hydro for days at a time because of it.February is often harder on us & today is just the beginning. I hope we do not get it any harder than it has been. Don 't get me wrong, I LoVe winter and the snow... only when I am on the inside looking out:) and when it doesn 't stop me from a day shopping or out with my friends. We can 't have it the way we want it all the time.....
I can see the excitement in Luke 's eyes and how much fun he will have in it.
